Child Safety Policies and Rules for Epictell (we may need to chop this down to bones)
Introduction Epictell is committed to providing a safe and secure online environment for children
to express their creativity, learn, and interact with others. Our policies and rules are designed to
protect the well-being of our young users and ensure that their online experiences are positive
and enriching.

General Safety Policies

1. Age-Appropriate Content: All content on Epictell is curated and moderated to ensure it is
    appropriate for children. We prohibit any content that is violent, explicit, or otherwise
    unsuitable for young audiences.

2. Parental Involvement: Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in their
    child's activities on Epictell. We provide tools for parents to monitor and manage their
    child’s account and interactions.

3. Content Moderation: Epictell uses AI and human moderators to review content posted
    on the platform. Any content that violates our guidelines will be promptly removed, and
    appropriate actions will be taken against the user who posted it.

Account and Privacy Policies

1. Age Verification: During account creation, we require age verification to ensure users are
    within the appropriate age range. Accounts for children under 13 must be created and
    managed by a parent or guardian.

2. Parent-Approved Child account is an account that is Parent approved and has access to all
    app features that have been permitted by a parent. As required and approved by the Federal
    Trade Commission’s Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) parents may provide
    verifiable parental consent. Approval is only required by a parent, for each child Epictell
    accounts connected to the parent account.

3. Personal Information: We limit the collection of personal information and ensure it is only
    used to enhance the user experience. Personal information is never shared with third
    parties without explicit consent from parents.

4. Anonymous Usernames: Children are encouraged to use anonymous usernames that do
    not reveal their real names or other personal details.
    (Not sure if anonymous usernames works for schools kids connecting to classmates, teachers
    and posting pics, schoolwork, home and outdoor activities)

4. Privacy Settings: Users can control who can view their profiles and content. Default
    settings prioritize privacy and safety, and parents can adjust these settings as needed. 
    Interaction and Communication Policies

   a. Friend Requests and Messaging: Only users who are mutual friends can send
       messages to each other. Friend requests require parental approval for users under 13.

   b. Commenting and Posting: All comments and posts are subject to moderation. Offensive
       or inappropriate comments will be removed, and the offending user may face penalties.

   c. Reporting and Blocking: Users and parents can report inappropriate behavior or content.

We provide tools to block users who exhibit unwanted or harmful behavior.
Content Creation and Sharing Policies

1. Content Guidelines: All user-generated content must adhere to our community
    guidelines, which prohibit hate speech, bullying, harassment, and any form of
    discrimination.

2. Safe Sharing: Users are encouraged to share their creative work while being mindful of
    privacy. Personal information should not be included in stories, art, or other shared
    content.

3. Challenges and Competitions: All challenges and competitions are designed to be fun,
    educational, and safe. Participation is voluntary, and all entries are reviewed for
    appropriateness.

Time Management and Screen Time Policies

1. Time Limits: Parents can set daily time limits for their child's use of Epictell to promote a
    healthy balance between online and offline activities.
2. Activity Reports: Weekly activity reports are available to parents, providing insights into
    their child’s usage patterns and engagement levels.

Safety and Security Information

1. Educational Resources: Epictell provides resources for children and parents on safe
    internet practices, digital citizenship, and online privacy.
2. Secure Platform: Our platform is built with robust security measures to protect against
    data breaches and unauthorized access.
3. Regular Audits: We conduct regular security audits and updates to ensure the ongoing
    safety and integrity of our platform.

Enforcement and Consequences

1. Three-Strike Policy: Users who repeatedly violate our safety policies will face a three-
    strike system leading to temporary or permanent suspension of their account.

2. Immediate Action: Severe violations, such as threats of violence or exploitation, will
    result in immediate suspension and notification to appropriate authorities.
    Appeals Process: Users and parents can appeal account suspensions if they believe a mistake
    has been made. Appeals are reviewed by our safety team
